Identity & Access Management Consultant
Location: The Woodlands, TX
Length: 10 months
The Identity & Access Management Applications support team is a globally dispersed team ) that develop and maintain the IT applications around identity & access. It's a total of 20+ applications, both in-house and vendor supported (i.e.: Access Manager, WebBAR, Emurald, Enterprise Directory, etc).
ò Develops and maintains programs for a client/server environment on Windows or Unix/Linux), using languages such as Visual Basic, PowerBuilder, C++, MS Access, SQL, etc.
ò Work with IT Business and IT process owner to refine specifications
ò Use TFS Work Items and TFS Test Case Management to manage and steward development activities
ò Follow and enhance to SRM development best practices
ò Learn and apply UI/UX concepts to form design and functionality
ò Develop estimates and manage all aspects of the build including design, development, testing, QA, UAT and migration to production and source code management.
ò Assist Run team in break-fix support for forms when required.
Computing Environment: Windows Server 2008; Microsoft SQL Server 2008; BMC Service Request Management (SRM) tools; BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
ò Interest in development work
ò Working knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Oracle)
ò Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root cause, and recommend solutions
ò Demonstrated ability to quickly learn / understand new technologies / applications
ò Communicate clearly

ò Strong analytical and design skills
ò Maintain system development and implementation documentation
ò - 3+ years technical experience developing / supporting applications which use an object-oriented programming language (e.g. .NET, Java)
ò Prior experience with developing or working with ITIL apps.
ò Prior experience designing / developing applications from scratch (i.e. new applications / functionality)
ò Strong object-oriented design and development background
ò Prior experience with Agile.
ò Prior experience writing system integrations / interfaces
ò Prior experience using or supporting BMC Remedy tools
ò Prior experience interfacing with vendor support resources
ò Prior experience working with projects to address technical requirements, researching / addressing technical issues, and completing support related project deliverables
Development responsibilities may include:
o Develop applications based on an internally defined architecture and software development best practices
o Maintain source code, source documentation, and version control
o Code and debug internally developed applications
o Develop plug-in modules to third party software
o Follow and enhance Agile development methodology and processes
o Working directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test and realize products
o Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant technical solutions
o Create compelling user interfaces and experiences
o Optimize performance
